Our Story
Our story
The Hypuljet Hydrogen engine has its roots way back in 1969 to 1972 with a concept for a diesel generator powered EV. In 1978 hydrogen as fuel and a rotary engine concept came into the vision with penned engine concept in 1980. This came to an abrupt halt, career, family and the hydrogen impasse.
The vision was rekindled with a 2004 Newsweek article “Hydrogen the fuel to take over from Oil”. Given the Hydrogen Impasse was still a major issue, this renewed initiative led to a Low voltage House from RE, with H2 –O2 Fuel supply for Vehicles, via batteries, a UK Patent was Granted 2010.
Due to lack of funds the revised H2-O2 Rotary Engine was not Filed for a UK Patent until 2014. The following year two further Patent Applications were filed to cover water injection for internal cooling to cut NOx emissions.
This led to water to internal Steam Jets – to improve viscosity of the liquid jet. 2020 we filed two UK Patent Application, first to cover a very much different engine format – the HyPulJet multi Rotary engine- generator and with a very Novel inventive step.
The second Patent Application was to cover the Integrated Hydrogen Power Unit with own fuel production. Although aimed at EVs there are many other applications where Zero emissions energy generation is needed. (The 2014/2015 UK patent Applications were “Withdrawn” as the 2020 applications made them obsolete.)
Whilst as a start-up company we go back a few short years to 2020 – in reality the roots of a generator powered electric vehicle go back to the days of the Oil Embargo. In more recent years the driving factor has been the need for Zero Carbon emissions generation of electrical energy, to mitigate Global Heating and reduce the resulting Climate Disaster.
Our mission
We see a major issue in the planned Net Zero 2050 Target, intended to make the necessary reduction in Carbon emissions on a Global basis. The present options of, Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered EVs and Battery powered EVs are only just on the start line, of the 25 year count down starting 2025.
It has been the opinion of HyPulJet Ltd for some years that, there is a dire need for an easy to mass manufacture – low cost engine which is able to use Hydrogen as a fuel. With normal mass production methods, it will bring about Affordable Zero emissions Electric Vehicles – exceptionally with very low fuel costs.
The HyPulJet IHPU will enable Legacy auto makers, to mass produce these engine/ power units in numbers over 50,000,000 units per year. Auto makers will be able to be convert existing on the road diesel/petrol engine vehicles, to be powered by HyPulJet Integrated Hydrogen Power Unit.
We are intent on developing the HyPulJet – Integrated Hydrogen Power Unit with the intention of bringing about Affordable Zero emissions EVs of all types in all countries around the World, including those without a Grid or the Grid is unstable – 900,000,000 people.
To achieve this HyPulJet Ltd intends a completely holistic approach, we need all actors in the Transport and energy sectors to join with us and to be on the same page.
The Aim is to bring about an end to Fossil Fuels being combusted to create energy Globally – the best and quickest way – being a lower cost alternative.
Our vision
To develop a Zero emissions electricity generation unitss, not just for UK or EU but for people in all parts of the World. To play a major role in the decarbonisation of Global energy generation,
- to help mitigate Global Warming and
- slow down Climate change, for the benefit of Future Generations
Fuel from water and the power in water- on board an Electric Vehicle or to provide household energy by adapting HyPulJet IHPU as a Combined Heat and Power unit. Also, there are many other applications where remote working from a grid, requires electricity.
Energy Independence for the people around the world, however we feel that there is a need for all countries and people, to have access to clean energy, free from Green House Gas emissions, which will allow those people left behind for the past 100 + years to improve their lifestyles.
Since, the majority of wars over the last 50 years, have had at their root cause Oil and Gas, Hypuljet will to all intents and purposes be a major cause for Peace in future years.
